Description: Note inside original container: "1. Interviewee's reluctance to talk about his father. Interviewer draws him out. Nutting and Gilb. 2. Interviewee frankly states why he won't discuss things that might make trouble. TenBroek and Baum. TenBroek later refused to complete interview after three good recordings because he felt it was too informal and he didn't have the time to satisfactorily revise it. 3. Interviewee breaks down on being asked to describe a colleague. Encourage to go on. Matyas and Gilb. 4. Interviewee and interviewer argue over several points, Creel and UN, irrelevant to interview. Brings up problem of whether to argue with interviewee or not, and problem of role interviewee is to assume. Bean and Neylan. 5. Initial difficulty in establishing rapport between TenBroek and Baum. Various quibbles. Later things went all right in interview, but he never finished or released interview. 6. Example of failure to follow lead and get description of Rowell. Campbell and Gilb. 7.
